Who a Self-care workshop suitable for?
Are you a member of a staff team, mental health service, a voluntary group or organisation? Would you like to increase your knowledge and experience of mindfulness as part of your Continuing Professional Development? Perhaps your team could simply benefit from some time out?
I have delivered and facilitated many Mindfulness workshops for groups and organisations over the years. These are tailored to the needs of your group but usually vary from 1 hour to 3 hours.
Introductory mindfulness courses are also available for your organisation.

What can I expect to be doing on a Self-care workshop?
This is a practical workshop which supports you and your group/team to take some head space and time for self-care. You and your team will learn several mindfulness practices, including mindful breathing, sitting meditation, guided body scan meditation, and gentle movement. There are short opportunities for group dialogue and the chance to discuss how mindfulness may support you in your working and home life.
You will leave with an overview of the principles and theory of mindfulness and an understanding of how it feels to participate in mindfulness practices. While the workshop is designed to support you to bring awareness to the present moment, it is not intended to involve group therapy and you will not be under any pressure to disclose personal information.
Practical course details:
- The length of the session can be tailored to suit the needs of your group or team. Workshops usually vary from 1 hour to 3 hours.
- An overview of the theory and principles of Mindfulness.
- An audio recording of a mindfulness practice guided by Susan is offered afterwards to each participant.
- Further mindfulness resources and information for follow up are also offered.

Yes!
I have been certified by East Coast Mindfulness, USA to deliver Mindfulness courses ONLINE.
I adapt the content of each workshop so that you will be able to experience the benefits of mindfulness through an online format. Plus, there is the added benefit of taking part in the course from the comfort of your own home or workplace!!
